This Friday, Zac Efron returns to Netflix with the second season of his inspiring unscripted series Down to Earth with Zac Efron. The second season sees the star travel all over Australia alongside his friend and wellness expert Darin Olien. But those looking forward to the new season are already wondering if Down to Earth with Zac Efron season 3 is in the works.
The show’s format would make it easy to continue in many different forms. Season 2 is slightly different from the first season because it focuses on just one country rather than several, like in season 1. The sophomore run is also subtitled “Down Under” and focuses heavily on conservation.
Will there be a Down to Earth with Zac Efron season 3 on Netflix?
At the time of writing this article on Monday, November 7, there has not been any renewal or cancellation news regarding the status of Zac Efron’s unscripted series Down to Earth.
Since season 2 does not release until Friday, November 11, that’s not alarming or anything for fans to be concerned about. Netflix can take several weeks, or sometimes even months, to decide on the status of a show.
The good news is that unscripted shows have a better chance of getting renewed than scripted content because they are cheaper to produce. If Efron wants to continue doing this show, there could be another season. Another season of the show could see the actor travel to somewhere new, perhaps Asia or South America.
In season 1, Efron traveled to several different locations, while the second season was entirely set in Australia. It would be cool to see another season spent in one place.
