Who is the Death Date for in Manifest season 4 part 1? (spoilers)

Thanks to Netflix, Manifest beat its own Death Date and released the first half of its fourth and final season. In Manifest season 4 part 1, two years have flown by and the Flight 828 passengers are still trying to survive their impending Death Date.

For those who might be a little fuzzy on what the Death Date is, it’s five and a half years after Flight 828 returned. From the moment the passengers miraculously returned home, a clock started ticking for them to expire in the exact amount of time they were missing.

The Death Date (June 2, 2024) looms large over Michaela, who takes over as captain of the Lifeboat in Ben’s absence, and the team works around the clock to ensure the passengers don’t die. But what’s the new twist for the Death Date in Manifest season 4?

Warning: Spoilers ahead for Manifest season 4 part 1!

Does the Death Date change in Manifest season 4?

While the Death Date itself doesn’t change, those who will perish once the date arrives did. As they come to learn through a joint Calling in season 4 episode 9, the Death Date isn’t just for the passengers of Flight 828. All of humanity is at risk of dying on June, 2, 2024.

They come to this conclusion based on the fact non-passengers are sitting on the plane in their shared Calling. Zeke, Olive, and Jared each appear in the Calling, despite not being passengers. Previously, they assumed they would all be judged together, but they hadn’t realized how far “all” really reached until now.

Unfortunately, they still haven’t found the solution to beating the Death Date. Angelina stole the Omega Sapphire, which was the closest they have come to finding the key to survival. Now that Cal has recovered from his cancer, he could be the next best bet to defeating Angelina and the Death Date.
