The School for Good and Evil lands on Netflix on Oct. 19 and people are gearing up for the film’s release. It’s a highly anticipated movie and we’re sure it’ll be the talk of the town once its drops.
Based on the bestselling fairytale fantasy novel of the same name by Soman Chainani, The School for Good and Evil follows two best friends, Sophie and Agatha, who couldn’t be any more different from each other but still share a close bond. While Sophie dreams of leaving her dreary life behind to attend the School for Good and become a princess, Agatha wishes to be left alone and live a simple life with Sophie.
One night under a blood-red sky, Sophie and Agatha are kidnapped and taken away to the enchanted school where fairytale heroes and villains are trained, but something unexpected happens. To Sophie and Agatha’s horror, Sophie is dropped at the School for Evil and Agatha at the School for Good. With their new roles, their friendship is put to the test and they find themselves on opposing sides of an epic battle brewing.
The fantasy film was helmed by Paul Feig from a screenplay co-written by Feig and David Magee. The amazingly talented cast includes Sophia Anne Caruso, Sofia Wylie, Charlize Theron, Kerry Washington, Michelle Yeoh, Laurence Fishburne, Kit Young, Rachel Bloom, Peter Serafinowicz, Mark Heap, Patti LuPone, Jamie Flatters, Freya Theodora Parks, and many others.
