When does Ben shave his grief beard in Manifest season 4 part 1?

When we catch up with Ben Stone in Manifest season 4, it’s an understatement to say that Ben is in a very dark place.

Following the death of Grace and the kidnapping of their daughter Eden, Ben allowed his grief to consume him as he became obsessed with finding his daughter no matter the cost. He’s pushed away everyone in his life, given up on following the callings as the captain of the lifeboat, and is nearly unrecognizable with his longer hair and grief beard.

It’s truly hard seeing Ben in such a dark place as the Ben we see at the beginning of this season is nothing like the Ben we know and love. But that’s the point. This is a Ben who has lost so much and is in a very dark place, understandably so.

The good news is that we will get to see Ben work through his grief as the season progresses and wen that time comes, you can indeed expect Ben to finally reach for the shaver to rid himself of the grief beard.

Warning: Manifest season 4 part 1 spoilers ahead.

When does Ben shave in Manifest season 4 part 1?

If you’re wondering when Ben finally shaves his grief beard in Manifest season 4, you’re likely not alone as it’s a question that many found themselves asking while watching the new season. Whether you’re simply not a fan of Ben’s new look or are wondering when we’ll get to see Ben getting back to his old self, we’re here to tell you that episode 6 is going to be a key episode for Ben this season.

After finally bringing Eden home safely in episode 5, Ben and the Stone family attempt to help Eden settle in at home which isn’t an easy task given they’re all strangers to her thanks to Angelina’s actions. Not only did Angelina raise Eden as her own making her think she was her mother, but she also made sure to tell Eden Ben was the bad man looking to hurt them.

When Ben brings Eden home, she struggles to accept him as her dad because he looks like the bad man her “mom” warned her about. Hoping to make a change, Ben decides to shave his grief beard so that he no longer looks like the bad man.

And while it takes some time for Eden to fully settle in, the change in Ben’s appearance definitely helps him to turn the corner in connecting with his youngest child.

Manifest is streaming now on Netflix.
