Who’s missed seeing Justin Hartley onscreen? Raise those hands high because I certainly have! The final episode of This Is Us, where Hartley portrayed character Kevin Pearson for six seasons, wrapped in May 2022. Now, we’re ready to see him in a new Netflix movie and we’ll get that chance in The Noel Diary!
The film follows best-selling author Jake Turner (Hartley) as he returns home during Christmas. He has to take care of his “estranged” mother’s estate after her passing, Netflix shares. While cleaning out his childhood home he finds a diary that holds secrets to his past, as well as Rachel’s, who is looking for her birth mother, according to the streamer. The two will go on a journey of confronting their pasts and perhaps finding love along the way.
Charles Shyer directed the romantic comedy, with Rebecca Connor and David Golden taking on writer duties. Hartley executive produced the film alongside Norman Stephens and Andrew Gernhard. Producers include Timothy O. Johnson, Stephanie Slack, and Margret H. Huddleston
