To quote Hilary Duff, let’s go back to the beginning. Netflix will stoke that sweet, sweet, 2000s nostalgia with the first two seasons of MTV’s hit reality series Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. The fan-favorite seasons arrive on Friday, Nov. 11, with The Hills following in December.
Lauren Conrad, Kristin Cavallari, and Stephen Colletti starred on the MTV reality series as fresh-faced teenagers living in Laguna Beach, California. The show was a direct response to Fox’s teen drama phenomenon The O.C., which premiered in 2003, a year before Laguna.
Along with Conrad’s spinoff The Hills, the show also spawned Newport Harbor: The Real Orange County and Whitney Port’s The Hills spinoff The City. But the original classic with the Hilary Duff theme song returns to pop culture in a big way this fall on Netflix.
