One of the bigger changes in The Summer I Turned Enough ‘s transition from new to television series involves the character of Jeremiah Fisher( played by Gavin Casalegno), one of two sisters fighting for the heart of 16- time-old Isabel “ Belly ” Conklin( Lola Tung).
In Prime Video’s YA drama( which premiered Friday with all seven occurrences), Jeremiah is sexually fluid compared to his book counterpart.
In occasion 2, he points out all the girls and boys at the country club that he’s kissed, also latterly describes himself as an equal occasion flirt.
My approach to this adaption was How would I tell the story in 2022? What would that look like? And how would that change effects?
I suppose maybe if I was writing the novel moment, I may have made that choice because I suppose that he’s always been a character, to me, that's really at ease with himself, really comfortable in his own skin, and openminded and open to disquisition. I do suppose that’s more reflective of moment and youthful people moment and the way they view fornication being much further of a diapason.
I would say( he’s) sexually fluid. He's a youthful person who’s figuring out where he falls in all that and has n’t endured a lot of of love yet. It’s still kind of beforehand on in that trip
