The Watcher

A new mystery thriller has arrived on Netflix: The Watcher. The series consists of a fantastic cast, including Naomi Watts, Bobby Cannavale, Mia Farrow, Noma Dumezweni, Joe Mantello, Richard Kind, Terry Kinney, Margo Martindale, and Jennifer Coolidge.

Based on actual events, the Brannock family moves into their dream house in Westfield, New Jersey, and begins to be harassed by letters sent to them from someone named The Watcher. The series is created by Ryan Murphy (American Horror Story) and Ian Brennan (Dahmer) and with source material from an article published in New York Magazine by Reeves Wiedeman.

The Empress

The Empress is a new title in the historical genre. Based on the life of Empress Elisabeth of Austria, who is portrayed by Devrim Leingnau, who resembles Jennifer Lawrence à la The Hunger Games days.

The story follows Elisabeth, who falls in love with Emperor Franz and becomes his bride. She enters court life in Vienna and must navigate her husband’s scheming family members, including her mother-in-law, who is also her aunt, her brother-in-law, and others trying to run Austria.

If you are a fan of period dramas, be sure to check this one out. The costumes alone make it worthy of a watch.

The Sinner season 4

A new season of The Sinner has arrived. The first season of this series is based on a novel by Petra Hammesfahr and was intended to be an eight-part miniseries. But the success and acclaim have extended this series to a fourth and final season.

This season, Ambrose (Bill Pullman) will travel to northern Maine to enjoy retirement and recover from his previous case. But when a prominent family experiences a tragedy, he is recruited to investigate the case. The new cast for this season includes Alice Kremelberg, Michael Mosley, Frances Fisher, Cindy Cheung, Ronin Wong, and Neal Huff.

Easy-Bake Battle: The Home Cooking Competition

Hosted by Queer Eye star Antoni Porowski, Easy-Bake Battle is a new reality baking competition. And if you, like me, assumed this would involve Easy Bake Ovens, we were wrong. Antoni and a new special guest serve as judges for each episode while contestants are timed and judged on the ease of preparing their dishes.

The judges are also looking for the simplicity of ingredients, ingenious time hacks, and the quickest preparation and cooking time. Cooks will compete for $25,000 in each battle, with the winner moving on for the chance to win up to $100,000!

Dead End: Paranormal Park season 2

Created by Hamish Steele, Dead End: Paranormal Park is based on a series of graphic novels, DeadEndia by Steele, and a web short Dead End by Cartoon Hangover’s Too Cool! Cartoons.

The series follows Barney, Norma, and the magical talking dog Pugsley as they work at a local theme park haunted house. They work together to battle the paranormal forces with their guide to the underworld, Courtney, a thousand-year-old demon. Dead End is fun for the whole family entertainment, rated TV-Y7, which is suitable for ages seven and up.  But as always, parents are the best judge of what their children should watch.
