The Jeffrey Dahmer Story about?

Unfortunately, there’s many disturbing true stories we hear about, and one of them is about serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. Netflix’s new series, Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, will premiere Wednesday, Sept. 21.

The 10-episode series stars Evan Peters as Jeffrey Dahmer, Richard Jenkins as Lionel Dahmer, Molly Ringwald as Shari Dahmer, Michael Learned as Catherine Dahmer, and Niecy Nash as Glenda Cleveland.

Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan serve as co-creators, as well as executive producers alongside Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun, Evan Peters, Janet Mock, and Carl Franklin.

So what can you expect to see in the upcoming series?

What is Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story about?

Also known as the Milwaukee Cannibal or the Milwaukee Monster, Dahmer committed the murder and dismemberment of 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991. He was also a sex offender with many of his later murders involving necrophilia, cannibalism, and the permanent preservation of body parts.

According to Netflix, the show exposes these “unconscionable crimes” and centers around the victims and their communities impacted by the systemic racism and “institutional failures” of the police that allowed one of the most notorious serial killers to continue his “murderous spree” in plain sight for over a decade.

The trailer gives us a look at Dahmer bringing his victims back to his apartment (which usually has a smell), how his neighbor hears screaming coming from his apartment, and a hint at his cannibalistic nature.

I have to say I can already tell Evan Peters is going to portray this role well — which is scary! He’s already giving me the creeps just from the trailer. Check it out below!

What do you think about the trailer? Will you be watching the new Netflix series? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
