We’re ready to return to the life of the Pogues. Just how long do we need to wait for Outer Banks season 3 to arrive on Netflix?
It’s time to return to Poguelandia. At least, that’s what we think. Netflix doesn’t seem to agree. Outer Banks season 3 is not one of the shows on the list of new releases on Netflix this month.
Of course, without any news about the series, we didn’t expect it. We still double-checked everything just in case it was on there. Now we’re left with more questions about the show’s return than answers.
When will Outer Banks season 3 come to Netflix?
We wish we had an idea as to when the show would arrive. What’s On Netflix shared that filming was set to run through to Aug. 19. There are no official updates as to whether filming did wrap on that date or not, but it did take some time for the show to announce filming had even started.
With an August wrap date, we’re looking at an early 2023 premiere date. After all, it takes at least six months for most shows to get through post-production. With no major CGI to add into this series, we’re looking at the six-month timeframe, which suggests a February 2023 release date. We may need to wait a little longer if there are any delays to the schedule.
The third season is set to pick up with the Pogues landing on the island, which happens to be the island John B’s dad was stranged on. We learned at the end of season 2 that John B’s dad is actually alive, and it’s time for John B to learn that.
We’ll get some flashbacks based on casting. A John B lookalike was cast, meaning we should see some of John B’s life with his dad when he was younger. Will those be flashbacks from his dad’s point of view or from his point of view?
Outer Banks is available to stream on Netflix. Stay tuned for season 3 updates.
