Jeffrey Dahmer’s surviving victim Tracy Edwards: Where is he now?

Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story is now streaming on Netflix! It recounts the true story of the infamous serial killer, Jeffrey Dahmer, and examines the gruesome murders he committed between 1978 and 1991. Even if you haven’t watched the series yet but followed the case, you’d know that Dahmer eventually gets captured and arrested after one of his victims manages to escape and flags down police. The surviving victim’s name is Tracy Edwards, and if it weren’t for him, Dahmer would’ve likely continued his murder spree for many more years.

Tracy Edwards was 32 years old at the time of meeting Dahmer in 1991. He was with some other guys when Dahmer approached them and offered to give them cash if they came to his apartment, posed for nude photographs, and spent time with him. While the other guys declined the offer, Tracy Edwards agreed to go with Dahmer to his apartment.

Like with Dahmer’s other victims, everything goes south once Edwards enters Dahmer’s apartment. At one point that night, Dahmer handcuffs Edwards and threatens him with a knife. Later, Dahmer tells Edwards that he’s going to eat his heart. Edwards quickly comes up with an escape plan but waits for the right opportunity to enact his plan. To keep from being killed, Edwards continuously repeats to Dahmer that he’s not going to run away and that he’s his friend.

Edwards eventually finds an opportunity to make a run for it and escapes from Dahmer’s apartment. He finds two Milwaukee police officers and leads them back to Dahmer’s apartment, where they find human remains and Polaroid pictures showing the dismemberment of Dahmer’s victims. Authorities arrest Dahmer and his murderous spree comes to an end. So, where is Edwards in 2022? Is he still alive? We shared where Jeffrey Dahmer’s final victim is today.
