Is the Netflix sci-fi series appropriate for kids?


A new science fiction series titled The Imperfects lands on Netflix on Sept. 8. To prepare you for the show’s release, we’ve decided to share the parents guide and age rating. Is The Imperfects okay to watch with kids? Find out below!

The Imperfects is a Netflix original series created by The Order creator Dennis Heaton and Shelley Eriksen. Heaton and Eriksen also executive produced along with Chad Oakes and Michael Frislev for Nomadic Pictures.

It’s about a trio of young adults, who after undergoing experimental gene therapy by a mad scientist, are given uncontrollable monstrous side effects. Joined by a doctor looking to fix her past mistakes, the trio decides to track and hunt down the evil scientist and force him to make them human again.

The cast includes Italia Ricci, Morgan Taylor Campbell, Rhianna Jagpal, Iñaki Godoy, Rhys Nicholson, Celina Martin, and Kyra Zagorsky. So now, without further ado, here’s the parents guide and age rating for The Imperfects.

The sci-fi series is rated TV-MA, meaning it may not be suitable for ages 17 and under. It was given this age rating for profanity use, blood, graphic violence, and suicide. There will also be various weapons used and frightening monstrous creatures. To sum it up, it’s specifically designed to be watched by mature audiences only. We wouldn’t recommend watching this show with a younger audience.

Based on the trailer, we can already tell this show will have viewers on a thrill ride from start to finish. There are 10 episodes in the first season, so there will be plenty to watch and enjoy.
