Is the Netflix movie okay for kids?

A new thriller film starring  Jessica Chastain and Eddie Redmayne will land on Netflix on Oct. 26. It’s called The Good Nurse, and once you learn all there is to know about it, I’m sure you’ll want to see it right away.

The Good Nurse is an upcoming Netflix original movie directed by Tobias Lindholm from a screenplay written by Krysty Wilson-Cairns. It’s based on the 2013 novel of the same name by Charles Graeber, which gives a detailed account of the true story of Amy Loughren, the nurse who finally put a stop to one of America’s most prolific serial killers, Charlie Cullen.

Jessica Chastain plays Amy Loughren and Eddie Redmayne plays the role of Charlie Cullen. The film follows Amy, a caring nurse and single mother struggling with a life-threatening heart condition. While working the night shifts at the intensive care unit, Amy has become stressed and stretched to her limits. But one day, a new nurse named Charlie arrives and Amy quickly forms a bond with him. With their friendship developing, Amy finally starts to see the light at the end of the tunnel. But when a series of mysterious patient deaths set off an investigation, Amy becomes suspicious that her new co-worker and friend is the person responsible. On a mission to uncover the truth, Amy risks her life and the safety of her children.

Based on the film’s synopsis, we’re expecting it to be dark and suspenseful. But what is the movie’s age rating? Is it suitable for kids? We shared The Good Nurse parents guide and age rating below.

The Good Nurse parents guide and age rating

The thriller is rated R. Given the film’s subject matter, a maturity rating of R seems appropriate. It was given this age rating for strong language, but I’m pretty sure there will be other content shown in the movie that many parents would consider inappropriate for younger audiences to watch. Overall, The Good Nurse is meant to be watched by mature, adult audiences and may be unsuitable for children under the age of 17. We suggest watching this movie when you have time to yourself and when no kids are around.
