iZombie fans are in for a treat this weekend as co-stars Rahul Kohli and Rose McIver reunite for the new science fiction comedy film Next Exit from writer and director Mali Elfman. Next Exit marks Elfman’s feature directorial debut.

Karen Gillan stars as research scientist Dr. Stevenson who has made an incredible breakthrough with a device known as Life Beyond that allows its users to painlessly commit suicide with the confidence that there is an afterlife beyond.

Two strangers, Rose (Katie Parker) and Teddy (Kohli), meet while sharing a car to their respective Life Beyond appointments. Each one harbors a dark secret they must contend with before embarking on their final journey. Rose is haunted by a ghostly presence, while Teddy must confront his past. Tongayi Chirisa, Tim Griffin, Diva Zappa, and Nico Evers-Swindell also star.

Magnolia Pictures’ genre arm Magnet Releasing is distributing Next Exit. Magnolia Pictures has an output deal with Hulu, so most of their films eventually stream there. We anticipate seeing Next Exit on Hulu within the first half of 2023.

For now, you’ll need to check and see if the movie is playing in theaters near you, as that is the only way to watch it at the moment.
