Good Grief from Dan Levy updates, synopsis, cast, and more

We all know the iconic character David Rose from Emmy-award winning series, Schitt’s Creek. It’s thanks to Dan Levy’s amazing portrayal that the character was brought to life! And now, Levy is bringing a story to life with the upcoming Netflix film, Good Grief.

The actor, writer, director, comedian, and producer is using his talents behind the scenes for his feature film debut! Though, this is not the first time Levy sits in the directing chair, having done so on Schitt’s Creek, which he also wrote.

Levy also wrote the script for Good Grief, will be starring in the production, and serves as a producer. Megan Zehmer, Stacey Snider, Kate Fenske, and Debra Hayward also take on producing duties. This is Levy’s first project under his production company, Not A Real Production Company, and since his overall deal with Netflix.

There aren’t many details yet, but here’s all we know about the upcoming film!

Good Grief synopsis

According to Deadline, the film follows Marc Dreyfus (Dan Levy). With his mom passing away, he’s chosen to distract himself with a comfortable marriage. But then his husband also unexpectedly dies. That’s when Marc is forced to finally confront the grief he’s tried so hard to avoid, sending him and his two closest friends on a Parisian weekend of self discovery.
