Enola Holmes 2 is not coming to Netflix in August 2022

Enola Holmes 2 is not coming to Netflix in August 2022. Despite post-production reportedly having ended in April, the wait for the sequel to the 2020 movie — following Sherlock Holmes’ kid sister Enola, portrayed by Stranger ThingsMillie Bobby Brown — continues.

Don’t fret, though, as Netflix has confirmed that the movie, also starring The Witcher‘s Henry Cavill, will be on our screens “later this year.”

Netflix announced that the sequel was in the works back in May 2021, and would see writer Jack Thorne and director Harry Bradbeer return as well as the main cast.

“I can’t wait to collaborate again with my Enola Holmes family! Enola holds a special place in my heart – she’s strong, fearless, intelligent, and brave. I look forward to fans seeing how her journey continues!” Millie Bobby Brown said at the time of the announcement.

So when can we expect the movie to arrive on the streamer? Find out below!

Is there an Enola Holmes 2 release date?

Unfortunately, despite our persistent hoping and wishing, Enola Holmes 2 still doesn’t have a confirmed release date yet, but as mentioned it’s been confirmed that the sequel is definitely coming in 2022.

So while we can’t offer you a definitive release date yet, we can offer you a rough prediction as to when we will see Enola Holmes 2 on Netflix.

We feel like it’s very possible that we could see the sequel arrive on Netflix in September 2022, as the first movie was released in the same month in 2020. This would also be exactly six months since post-production wrapped on the movie, so we feel like it’s a safe bet.

However, we do urge you to take this information with a grain of salt, as the official release date could look a bit different. We expect that over the next couple of weeks, more information about the sequel will be revealed by the streamer. So make sure to stay tuned for more release date updates from Netflix Life.
