Dorothy Wang to lead Bling Empire spinoff series set in New York

Dorothy Wang is back! The Bling Empire star is returning to the franchise in a different state. Netflix is launching a spinoff series to be set in New York. Those who watch Bling Empire will recall seeing Dorothy move to the city, so it looks like the cameras will follow her there soon.

It seems like the popular reality series is doing well for Netflix to expand it into a franchise. Could we get another series in the future, perhaps in another city? The news of the spinoff, titled Bling Empire: New York, comes just a few days before the parent series returns for its third season.

Bling Empire season 3 is coming out this Friday, October 5. No release date has been set for the spinoff show just yet, but Netflix did release a teaser, which you can watch below!

Bling Empire: New York is a spinoff starring Dorothy Wang

Dorothy is no stranger to the life of luxury or reality television. Even before Bling Empire, she appeared in Rich Kids of Beverly Hills, and now she’s looking for love!

The teaser shows Dorothy scoping out the New York guys as she says she’s hoping to vibe more with them than with the LA guys. “I’m single and ready to mingle.” She’ll be joined by fashion influencer Tina Leung, playboy Richard Chang who happily admits he’s dated like half the city, and Chinese millionaire Stephen Hung and his wife, Deborah.

The official synopsis for the series, from Netflix, “Meet a fresh group of wealthy, sophisticated and hilarious Asian-Americans from New York City, where the quality of real estate is measured by address, not acreage. Conversations are direct, not coded. And competition – for love, for money, and for power – is fierce. Billionaires, CEOs, and fashion icons – it’s a city where you can be anything you want to be.”

Jeff Jenkins will serve as an executive producer with his company Jeff Jenkins Productions. Russell Jay-Staglik, Elise Chung, Lenid Rolov, Ross Weintraub, and Reinout Oerlemans will also executive produce.

Bling Empire season 3 starts streaming this Friday, October 5.
