Halloween movies and shows on Netflix

Summer has officially come to a close and the temperatures are cooling down, so you know what that means… It’s time for the holidays to begin! There’s no better way to start the fall than by getting into the Halloween spirit, whether that’s decorating your room with pumpkins or tuning in for your favorite scary movie. When it comes to Netflix, there are so many good TV shows and films to check out in time for October 2022. And there’s more on the way!

As we inch closer and closer to the creepy holiday, here are the best titles to watch on Netflix for Halloween, starting with Midnight Mass.

Midnight Mass

Midnight Mass is without a doubt my favorite horror TV show on Netflix. The Mike Flanagan miniseries debuted in time for spooky season in 2021 and became a critical success. This seven-episode show is a lot darker than Flanagan’s previous shows for the streamer, which include The Haunting of Hill House and The Haunting of Bly Manor.

Starring an ensemble cast of Hamish Linklater, Zach Gilford, Kate Siegel, Samantha Sloyan, Rahul Kohli, and others, Midnight Mass follows characters in a small fictional town called Crockett Island, where everyone knows each other and goes to church every Sunday. When a new priest (Linklater) shows up, everything changes. And what seems like a miracle at first turns out to be the complete opposite.

The show is truly fantastic, with some of the best monologues to ever come out of a Netflix show. Hamish Linklater was seriously robbed of an Emmy or Golden Globe nomination for his unforgettable portrayal.

If you’re looking for something compelling and pretty scary, Midnight Mass is for you. We really hope Flanagan makes more projects like this in the future.
