Best Camila Mendes movies and shows (and where to stream them)


Camila Mendes is a talented actress and singer best known for her break-out role playing Veronica Lodge in The CW series Riverdale. Her next big project is the upcoming teen comedy feature from Jenn Kaitlyn Robertson, Do Revenge, also starring Maya Hawke.

The Brazilian beauty has since appeared in several other notable movies, many of which are available to stream on Netflix. You might have seen her in romances like The Perfect Date, Palm Springs, or The New Romantics.

Besides the many films listed below, Mendes has several exciting projects in the works, such as the upcoming rom-coms Música and Upgraded. She will also appear in the high-stakes drama film American Sole alongside Pete Davidson and O’Shea Jackson.

Riverdale

Camila Mendes is best known for playing Veronica Lodge in The CW series Riverdale, based on the popular and iconic Archie comics. What started as a rather simple murder mystery series set in the small town of Riverdale has since blossomed into a high-stakes horror crime show with supernatural elements. Archie and his friends are constantly thrust into the center of Riverdale’s darkest mysteries. Riverdale will end with its upcoming seventh season.

Do Revenge

Mendes stars opposite Stranger Things actress Maya Hawke in this witty Hitchockian teen comedy loosely based on Hitchcock’s film Strangers on a Train. Mendes and Hawke’s characters decide to “do revenge” on each other’s respective bullies. The film also functions as a love letter to the teen comedies of the 1990s and early 2000s, with references to movies like Cruel Intentions, Mean Girls, Heathers, and many more.

Palm Springs

Mendes’ role in Palm Springs is pretty small, but it’s still a movie worth watching because it’s sweet, endearing, and hilarious. Andy Samberg and Cristin Milioti star as two strangers who meet at a wedding held in Palm Springs and find themselves trapped in a time loop together. Mendes plays the bride and Sarah’s (Milioti) half-sister.

Coyote Lake

This psychological thriller centers on a duplicitous mother-daughter team who regularly drug and steal from visitors at their bed-and-breakfast near the Texas/Mexico border. Coyote Lake has received mixed reviews due to how it handles topics like immigration and border control, but Mendes delivers an excellent performance, and the story should keep you engrossed.

The Perfect Date

If you’re in the mood for a sweet romantic comedy, then The Perfect Date should be right up your alley. Mendes doesn’t play the female lead, but she still has an important role to play in the movie with stars Noah Centineo and Laura Mariano.

Based on the novel The Stand-In by Steve Bloom, The Perfect Date follows teenage Brooks Rattigan, who creates an app that allows him to become the perfect “stand-in” boyfriend for any occasion.

The New Romantic

What happens when a young woman starts seeking older suitors in exchange for gifts? The New Romantic is all about journalism major Blake Conway who starts writing about her experience as a sugar baby. Mendes plays one of Blake’s friends, Morgan, who is also a sugar baby and gives Blake advice on becoming one herself.

Camila Mendes stars as a caregiver in this psychological thriller film. Katie (Mendes) is shocked to discover that an older man she was taking care of has left his entire estate to her, drawing her into a dangerous web of lies and deception that will leave her questioning everyone she knows.
