Boo, Bitch

Boo, Bitch starring Lana Condor premiered on Netflix on July 8, and my instant thought when I watched the show was that it reminded me of Never Have I Ever. Although the plot is very different from Never Have I Ever, both shows are set in high school, and the high school scenes will easily remind you of Never Have I Ever. Even some characters and the dialogue are similar.

The comedy series follows Erika Vu, a teen girl who lived under the radar for most of high school until one day she decides that she wants to live life to the fullest before graduation. This leads her on a wild night of partying. But she wasn’t expecting to wake up the next morning a ghost. Sadly, Boo, Bitch won’t likely return with a new season since it’s a limited series. Still, we recommend giving it a watch because it’s very entertaining.

On My Block season 4 - Best Netflix shows - Never Have I Ever

On My Block

On My Block is another teen series that will remind you of Never Have I Ever. It follows a group of friends as they navigate their way through high school while living in the gritty inner city. Like the teens in Never Have I Ever, the teens in On My Block experience first loves, family issues, and friend and relationship drama.

The show introduced the world to a bunch of young, talented actors, such as Sierra Capri, Jason Genao, Brett Gray, Diego Tinoco, Jessica Marie Garcia, and Julio Macias. And they all give outstanding performances.

There are four seasons of On My Block, so there’s plenty to watch. We give the teen series a 10 out of 10, and highly recommend you add it to your watchlist.

Atypical is a heart-warming series about a young teen on the autism spectrum named Sam, who decides that he’s ready to find a girlfriend. But in order to make this happen, Sam will have to be more independent, which worries his overbearing mother. While Sam is on his search for love and independence, his family is also on their own path of self-discovery. Although the show mainly focuses on Sam, we also get to see his younger sister and her struggles with her sexuality and his parents as they go through marital problems.

Atypical is an amazing show with well-written storylines, great character development, and incredible performances by the cast. It’s hilariously funny, engaging, and touching all at the same time. Make sure you add this teen series to your watchlist as soon as possible.

Technically, Riverdale isn’t a Netflix series. However, Netflix currently licenses the show, so it’s applicable. Riverdale is based on the characters of Archie Comics and is a teen series airing on The CW. Although Riverdale is much darker than Never Have I Ever, the teens in Riverdale still juggle romance, school, and family like Devi and her friends. The main difference is that the teens in Riverdale deal with several murder mysteries.

The cast has changed over the seasons, but the original cast consisted of KJ Apa, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, Cole Sprouse, Madelaine Petsch, Ashleigh Murray, Marisol Nichols, Mädchen Amick, Luke Perry, Mark Consuelos, Casey Cott, Skeet Ulrich, Charles Melton, and Drew Ray Tanner.

All six seasons of Riverdale are currently streaming on Netflix. The seventh and final season will air sometime in 2023, and then Netflix subscribers can expect it to make its way to the streamer not too long after it finishes airing.
